Mother arrested for raising concerns to Wethersfield base

Holly is a mother who has been raising awareness about concerns linked to the Wethersfield base after her child was filmed last year by a resident of the camp. Like any parent, her priority is protecting her children.

This morning, Holly was taken from her home in front of her children. It’s heartbreaking and I feel completely helpless watching this unfold.

Prison officer sentenced to three years for intimate relationship

A former prison officer has been sentenced to three years in prison after admitting she had an intimate relationship with a prisoner and broke multiple security rules while working at a major UK prison.

Alicia Novas, aged 20 and from Raunds, previously worked at HMP Five Wells in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire one of the country’s largest Category C prisons. Prosecutors told Northampton Crown Court that Novas developed a relationship with 31-year-old inmate Declan Winkless, who was serving an extended sentence for burglary.

Man found guilty of abducting & sexual assault of girl aged 5 

Sudanese asylum seeker Mohammed Abdulraziq, 32, was found guilty in September 2025 of abducting & sexually assaulting a girl aged 5.

Sentencing was postponed this week at Birmingham Crown Court as the probation service had not yet completed an assessment of his "dangerousness".

Stoke man jailed for over seven years for rape

A man who raped and recorded a woman undressing in Stoke-on-Trent has been jailed for seven-years-and-seven-months.

Jaroslaw Adamkowski, 42, of Stoke-on-Trent, appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court and was jailed after previously pleading guilty to the rape of a woman and two counts of voyeurism, recording a private act. As part of his sentencing, Adamkowski was also put on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely. He raped the survivor in February last year and also recorded her in a state of undress on two occasions, without her knowing, in January. 

Afghan national charged for sexual assault of child in Manchester

A man has been charged with sexual assault of a child. Hamed Mohamodie, 28, of Ashley Road, Hale, appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court on January 3.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on February 6. Police were earlier alerted to an alleged incident at a property in Hale.

Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: "A man has been charged with sexual assault of a child in Hale. Hamed Mohamodie, Ashley Road, Hale, was charged with sexual assault of a child under 13 and remanded into custody.

Paedophile raped eight victims over a 19-year period

A paedophile who raped and sexually abused eight victims over a 19-year timeframe has been brought to justice.

The abuse by Pramod Dhakal, 49, only came to light in November 2023 when one of the victims confided in her family. This then resulted in further victims coming forward.

All of Dhakal’s victims except one were children at the time of the abuse, with the youngest eight years old. All but one of the victims were based in Cambridgeshire, with the other from London.

Failed asylum seeker convicted of rape and sexual assault

Chret Callender is a failed asylum seeker from Trinidad who was recently convicted of rape and sexual assault by a unanimous jury decision at Bournemouth Crown Court in December 2025. 

Callender, 28, who had been staying at the Britannia Hotel in Bournemouth while appealing his failed asylum bid, denied the charges, claiming his victim faked the attack.

The incident occurred in the early hours of June 14, 2025, after the victim had met Callender and friends in Bournemouth Pleasure Gardens.

Man jailed for number of sex offences against children

Kieran Smith, aged 22, of Grimsby, was found guilty following a trial at Leeds Crown Court of rape of a girl under 13, assault of a girl under 13 by penetration and causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Smith lived in Castleford at the time of the offences, which occurred between 2022 and 2024, and were committed against one victim.

He appeared at Bradford Crown Court where he was sentenced to nine years imprisonment with an extended licence period of one year.

Man sentenced to 35 years for attempted murder of daughter

A 28-year-old man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after admitting the attempted murder of his infant daughter, a tragedy that left the child with lifelong injuries.

Rhydian Jamieson, appeared at Swansea Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to the charge. The court heard that the attack took place in January last year, when Jamieson threw his baby daughter at a television screen during a violent outburst. Instead of calling for help, he reportedly hid the severely injured child under a duvet and left the scene.

Sex offender used fake profile to stalk his victim for over six years

A sex offender who used a fake woman's Facebook profile to stalk his victim for six years has been jailed for more than four years.

Michael Davies carried out a sinister campaign of harassment against the woman he had previously sexually assaulted on a bus when she was just 17 years old. The 60-year-old spent two years in prison for that initial assault, but his obsession didn't end there.

Following his release in 2019, Davies created a Facebook account under the name Rachel Phillips and began messaging his victim. 

South Yorkshire police sergeant reported for duty while drunk

The officer, identified as Sergeant Jonathan Sorsby, is accused of attending a police site in Wakefield on 1 May 2024 where concerns were raised about his fitness for duty. A subsequent breath test reportedly showed a positive alcohol reading, triggering an internal investigation.

According to misconduct proceedings, Sgt Sorsby is alleged to have:

Paedophile attacked at HMP Wakefield 
 

Another Paedophile has been attacked and disfigured in HMP Wakefield, the same prison where Ian Watkins was killed.

White supremacist sex offender Jack Renshaw later sentenced for life over his plan to kill ex-Labour MP Rosie Cooper was “striped” in a savage attack outside his cell at HMP Wakefield.

He had a previous conviction after he made two schoolboys send him indecent selfies and he offered one of them cash for sex. A fellow inmate is said to have slashed him with a makeshift weapon, leaving Renshaw screaming in agony.

Mam and Dad charged with murder of their baby daughter

A mam and dad have appeared in court charged with murdering their 13-month-old baby daughter.

They also face two counts of sexual assault by penetration in relation to the baby, abuse of two other children and possession of images of child rape and sexual abuse.

Isabella Stasiak died after suffering a cardiac arrest at the family home in the New Bilton area of Rugby, in Warwickshire.

Kinga Wydrzynska, 24, and partner Michal Stasiak, 26, (from Poland) appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court charged with murder.

School worker jailed for four years following abuse of pupil

A school worker who sexually abused a pupil has been jailed for more than four years.

Timothy Dennis, of Southend, has been sentenced to four years and eight months in prison after admitting engaging in sexual communication with a child, causing a teenage girl to engage in sexual activity and making indecent images of a child.

The 43-year-old worked at a secondary school in the Basildon, when he started grooming the schoolgirl. Dennis admitted all charges on October 2 and appeared at Southend Crown Court where he was sentenced.

Women who groomed schoolboy avoids prison
 

A woman who groomed a 15-year-old schoolboy to engage in repeated sexual activity has avoided an immediate prison sentence, after appearing at Oxford Crown Court last month.

Shannon Didcock, 29, of London Road, Chipping Norton, pleaded guilty to three counts of inciting a child under 16 to engage in sexual activity, offences that occurred in 2024. Despite the seriousness of the crimes, Didcock was handed an eight-month sentence, suspended for 18 months. She has also been ordered to complete 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days, register as a sex offender for ten years, and pay a victim surcharge of £187.

84 year old former children's home worker jailed years later

An 84-year-old former children's home worker has been sentenced to 11 years for historical child abuse offences.

George Hendry of Serpentine Parade in north Belfast, was found guilty at Belfast Crown Court of four counts of indecent assault and two other serious sexual offences of a boy under the age of 16.

Hendry sometimes worked the night shift at PAC where he was the sole member of staff on duty during which much of the abuse took place.

Stoke man guilty of several child sexual offences

A man has been jailed after pleading guilty to several child sexual offences.

David Heathcote, 60, of Harriseahead, Kidsgrove, was sentenced to four-years-and-one-month in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court today.

Sunderland Bus driver who groomed schoolboy named

A bus driver from Wallsend has now been named after being convicted of a sexual offence against a Sunderland boy

Steven Craig appeared at Newcastle Crown Court, where he stood trial after pleading not guilty to the following charges: Two counts of sexual activity with a boy under the age of 13, Sexual assault of a boy under 13 by touching and Sexual activity with a boy aged 13 to 15. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison, of which he will serve half in custody. The court also imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order & ordered that Craig be placed on the sex offenders register for life.

Man jailed for sexual assault of girl aged 11
 

Gary Wilson, who was in his late 30s at the time, abused the girl for a period of five years.

The girl, now a woman in her late 20s, kept the abuse a secret until her early twenties when she revealed it to her parents. She went on to report it to police.

Wilson, of Hill Close, Turnditch, Belper was arrested and found in possession of indecent images and extreme pornography, unrelated to the girl he had abused. During a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on 15 December, a judge handed him a 7-year-jail-term. He was also handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Southampton man films himself raping a 12-year old child

A 31-year-old man has been sentenced to just four years in prison after admitting to filming himself raping a 12-year-old girl at a Southampton hotel following contact on TikTok.

Mark Greenway claimed he believed she was 19 when they met for sex in his hotel room, but the judge ruled it should have been obvious he "had been misled."

Southampton Crown Court heard Greenway met the child at the Novotel in August last year.Judge Mousley sentenced Greenway, of Spon Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, to four years in prison with one year on licence.

27 month jail sentence for man from Powys for sexual assault

A 63-year-old man from Powys has been jailed for 27 months after being convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage girl, leaving her a "shell of her former self". De La Mare must register as a sex offender for ten years. The judge also imposed a ten-year restraining order prohibiting him from contacting his victim.

Mark De La Mare, of Cae Dafydd, Meifod near Welshpool, denied committing the offence but was found guilty following a trial at Mold Crown Court. The court heard the incident took place at a property in early 2023, when he touched the girl over her clothes whilst they were alone.

Solicitor tells MT there's no problem with family court

A family court solicitor has told Masked Truth that “the system is working,” insisting parents are being supported and that there are “no problems” within the family court system.

The comments were made on Monday during an interview with a Masked Truth reporter outside Barras Bridge Family Court in Newcastle.

According to the solicitor, families are receiving adequate support and the current system is functioning as intended.

Liverpool driver lost his temper after driving into crowds

A man who used his car as a "weapon" to plough into more than 100 people at Liverpool's victory parade told police he did it out of fear and panic, a court has heard.

But prosecutors said these were lies told by Paul Doyle and he had "just lost his temper" and driven at crowds in a rage during the celebrations.

At Liverpool Crown Court earlier, victims of his Water Street rampage on 26 May spoke about their terror and injuries.

Suspended sentence for man with child sexual abuse videos 

A pervert had a disgusting collection of child sexual abuse videos and photos of children as young as two.

Mark Burdis had been downloading the vile material, which also involved extreme porn involving dogs and people, over a two month period at his Northumberland home.

Burdis was given a nine-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, was made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years and must sign the sex offenders register.

Police chief constable to retire for one day for police pension

A police chief constable on a £170,000-a-year salary has asked to retire for a single day - before being reappointed to her role - to protect her pension.

North Wales Police Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman will "retire" on 15 January and be "re-hired" on 17 January if the process is approved.

The move is legitimate under the national Retire and Rehire Scheme and will prevent her pension pot reducing. It matures after 30 years' service but reduces for each consecutive year of additional service. By enforcing a break, it will be frozen at its maximum amount.

No support for children and parents following adoption

Hundreds of parents have contacted Masked Truth about their struggles with getting support for adopted children as charities call for a government review.

The response came after we reported last month that more than 1,000 adopted children had been returned to care over five years. Dozens of adoptive parents told us they had been blamed for the difficulties of often traumatised young people.

Newcastle nurse suspended for 9 months for reckless behaviour

A Newcastle-based nurse has been suspended from the nursing register for nine months after giving a syringe filled with saline to a drunk friend following a night out an act a professional panel described as “reckless”.

James Joshua Hartley, who was employed by Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust at the time, supplied the syringe to a friend in February 2020 while the man was described as “vulnerable and intoxicated”. Shortly afterwards, the friend suffered a seizure, an incident later discovered by his parents after footage was streamed on social media. 

Child sexually abused in Weston-Super-Mare on Saturday night

Police have launched an urgent appeal for information after a 12-year-old girl reported being sexually assaulted by a man in Byron Recreation Park, Weston-super-Mare, on Saturday evening.

The incident happened at around 9:20pm, when the girl was spoken to and touched by a man she did not know. She quickly ran to a nearby group of women who immediately stepped in to help and contacted police. Officers say the child is now safe at home and being supported by specialist teams.

As part of the investigation, police have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify.

Police find more child images on sex offenders phone

A convicted Northumberland child sex offender is facing another spell behind bars after police found more indecent images of children spanning an eight‑year period.

Stephen Jones, 50, from Blyth, was previously jailed in 2004 for indecently assaulting a boy under 14. But in 2016 he began collecting child abuse images again, including 31 category A pictures the most serious type.

Magistrates ruled their sentencing powers were not sufficient, so the case has been sent to Newcastle Crown Court for sentencing in January. Jones has been released on unconditional bail but must sign the sex offenders register within three days.

Sheffield man paid women for images of her 9-year old daughter

A man who paid a woman in the Philippines to send him indecent images of her nine-year-old daughter has been jailed.

Richard Green, 49, was arrested following an investigation by authorities in the United States into a sex trafficking network in the island nation. In total of 28 indecent images were found on Green's devices – seven in Category A, seven in Category B, eight in Category C, and 13 classed as extreme.

The court heard that, prior to his sentencing, Green had attempted to take his own life in November.

Dirty wards and poor care in England's maternity services

Hungry mothers, dirty wards and poor care are blighting England's maternity services while staff receive death threats for working in some units, according to a new report.

Baroness Amos, who is chairing a review into maternity care, said that what she has seen so far "has been much worse" than she'd anticipated. Some women had felt blamed for their baby's death, while others suffered from a lack of empathy, care or apology when things had gone wrong, with poor and black mothers often at the end of discriminatory services

Former children's commissioner to chair grooming inquiry 

Baroness Anne Longfield will lead the inquiry, which was derailed in October when four women resigned from its survivors panel and two leading candidates to chair the investigation pulled out.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said Baroness Longfield had "devoted her life to children's rights", while announcing the appointment in the House of Commons.

The prime minister announced the inquiry for England and Wales in June, accepting the recommendation of an audit into the evidence on the nature and scale of group-based child sexual abuse by Baroness Louise Casey.

Two 17-year old Afghan asylum seekers sentenced for rape

The pair were sentenced at Warwick Crown Court for the rape of a 15-year-old girl in Leamington Spa.

The court heard the victim became separated from friends before being led into a secluded area by one of the teenagers, who then called the second offender to join him. The girl managed to record parts of the incident on her phone, capturing her distress and repeated protests. Both defendants admitted one count of rape of a child under 16.

Stafford man jailed for 29 years for abuse of two girls

A dangerous predator from Stratford who repeatedly sexually abused two girls has been jailed for 29 years.

We arrested 61-year-old Keith Stanley in March when a teenage girl bravely came forward to disclose that she had been sexually abused by Stanley for five years.

On arrest he was charged with eight different counts of rape of a girl and remanded in custody. On 14 November at Warwick Crown Court, Stanley was sentenced to 29 years in prison, with a further six years to be spent on licence.

School teacher admits making indecent images of children 

A Cornish school teacher has been struck off after he admitted making indecent images of children including videos showing rape and torture

Joshua Pope was convicted of three counts of making indecent images and was sentenced in July 2024 to eight months in jail, suspended for two years, and 100 hours of unpaid work. Police found images were downloaded over a period of many years up until March 5, 2023. Now a Teaching Regulation Agency misconduct panel has banned the 27 year-old pervert from teaching again.

Nurse deliberately contaminated blood samples

A nurse from Eastleigh who deliberately contaminated blood samples and caused severe pain to three young cancer patients has been jailed for 15 months.

Emma Sinclair, 30, of Desborough Road, admitted three counts of ill-treatment and wilful neglect while working as a community nurse for Solent NHS Trust, now part of Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust.

Southampton Crown Court heard Sinclair’s actions took place during a series of home visits across the city on 6 February 2024. She was accompanied by a student nurse at the time.

Human error leads to grooming gang case being dropped

New evidence suggests that failures in procedure and oversight may have caused National Crime Agency (NCA)-linked investigations into alleged grooming gangs to collapse or be dropped. At the early stage of a wide-ranging review, the agency has identified “human error” as a significant factor in the decision-making breakdown.

Officials say that in a number of cases involving so-called grooming gangs, the prosecution process stalled or was not pursued at all due to mistakes in handling evidence, communication lapses and delays in referral.

Football coach groomed teenage girl given treatment program

A youth football coach who attempted to groom a teenage girl has been ordered to go on a sexual offenders treatment programme.

Carl Everall coached Crewe Alexandra's youth team but was suspended in October after allegations came to light.

Everall, 28, of Haweswater Avenue, Crewe, admitted engaging in sexual communication with a child at Chester Crown Court.

Police said he messaged the girl on Snapchat for nine months.

Manhunt under way for second asylum seeker wrongly released

A 24-year-old Algerian man was accidentally freed from HMP Wandsworth in south London on Wednesday last week.

However, the Metropolitan Police was not informed of his release until lunchtime yesterday nearly six days later.

Officers have launched an urgent search to locate the man, who had been serving a custodial sentence for immigration-related offences.

The Ministry of Justice confirmed it was investigating the incident and said “robust measures” were being taken to prevent similar mistakes in future.

Former headteacher could have been stopped but wasn't

An independent review has found that there were more than 50 occasions when concerns about head teacher Neil Foden, 68, were raised but not acted upon before he was jailed for a string of sexual abuse offences.

Foden, a former head teacher in North Wales, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for sexually abusing four girls. The report, commissioned by the North Wales Safeguarding Board, describes him as a “sophisticated and controlling paedophile” who exploited his position over many years.

Boy dies following head on crash between two cars

An eight-year-old boy has died following a head-on collision between two cars in West Yorkshire, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash, which happened on a rural road near Keighley on Thursday evening. Two vehicles were involved in the collision, and several people were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the young boy was pronounced dead shortly after the crash. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Children remain missing after entering into the UK

More than 50 unaccompanied child asylum seekers who vanished shortly after arriving in the UK remain missing, new data obtained by The Guardian has revealed.

The figures, gathered through freedom of information requests to local authorities, show that dozens of children many of them teenagers disappeared soon after being placed in government-run or contracted accommodation.

Charities and campaigners have raised serious concerns about the safeguarding of vulnerable minors, warning that many could have fallen into exploitation or trafficking networks.

Metro worker guilty of communication with child due to boredom

A former Tyne and Wear Metro employee has received a suspended prison sentence after admitting to engaging in sexual communication with a child online.

Robert Wilkinson, from East Denton, Newcastle, appeared in court after telling investigators he had taken part in explicit conversations with what he believed to be a 13-year-old girl from Sweden.

The court heard the offences took place while Wilkinson was employed in a customer service role at the Metro network. He was later dismissed from his position.

Ten people stabbed on train travelling to London Kings Cross

A major investigation is under way after ten people were stabbed on a London North Eastern Railway (LNER) train travelling from Doncaster to London King’s Cross on Saturday evening.

British Transport Police (BTP) said officers were called at around 19:39 GMT following reports of multiple people being attacked as the train approached Huntingdon Station in Cambridgeshire.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.

Toddler dies following holiday swimming pool incident

Matilda, 3, was tragically found unconscious at the bottom of a hotel swimming pool in Lardos, a seaside resort village on the island of Rhodes, on 14 October.

The little girl, identified only as Matilda, was on holiday with her family and was allegedly left unsupervised. The little girl was discovered unconscious at the bottom of the pool within the hotel complex.

A British doctor, who happened to be nearby, dived in to rescue Matilda and performed CPR until the arrival of paramedics.

Nursery worker found guilty of sexual abuse of children

A nursery worker has been found guilty of raping and sexually abusing children as young as three.

Thomas Waller was told his offences, which took place in 2024, were so serious he would have to be sentenced at a crown court, when he appeared on Friday at Staines Magistrates Court.

A man who subjected a woman to a  campaign of sexual abuse jailed

A man who subjected a woman to a “prolonged and appalling” campaign of sexual abuse has been jailed for 18 years.

Habibul Haque, 44, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday after being found guilty of multiple sexual offences earlier this month. The offences were committed against a woman in her 20s in the St Helens area. Police said the abuse was first reported in March 2025, leading to a complex investigation and subsequent conviction.

A teacher has been jailed for sexually assaulting three former pupils 

A former teacher has been jailed for sexually assaulting three former pupils at a Southampton school.

Leo Norman, 46, was sentenced to 14 months in prison at Portsmouth Crown Court yesterday after being found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child by a person in a position of trust. In addition to his custodial sentence, Norman was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be required to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years.

Referee has pleaded guilty to making an indecent image of a child.

David Coote, 42, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court where he admitted creating a Category A indecent image the most serious classification under UK law.

The offence relates to a video depicting a boy aged around 15, discovered earlier this year during an investigation by police.

Coote is due to be sentenced on 16 December. He will remain on conditional bail until that date.

A former police officer and a senior social worker have emerged as the leading candidates to chair the government’s new national inquiry into grooming gangs, It is expected to examine the systemic failures in protecting children from organised sexual exploitation across England. It will look at how police forces, councils and other public bodies responded to allegations in towns and cities where grooming gang activity has been exposed over the past two decades.

A man has been jailed for 15 years for serious sexual assault 

A man has been jailed for 15 years after being found guilty of carrying out a serious sexual assault on a woman in Leeds.

Lyndon Powell, 35, who was homeless at the time of the offence, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on 14 October for sexual assault by penetration.He was remanded in custody ahead of his trial and was found guilty by a jury in September.

Man jailed for raping a child he met on snapchat

Joshua Emery from Cannock was sentenced to seven years in prison at Stafford crown court after being found guilty of raping a girl aged between 13 and 15.

Emery will also have to sign the register for life and pay a victim surcharge of £228 when released. Police have urged parents to check their children's devices and report anything that seems suspicious 

Speaker Lindsay Hoyle spent £56,000 of tax payers money 

The speaker of the house of commons spent over £56,000 in nine months on over-seas trips 

Hoyle who represents Chorley, travelled to the United States, Canada and several European countries on extensively parliamentary business. The largest single trip was to Washington DC costing more than £15,000 where he met members of congress. 

Couple from London deliberately starved three year old daughter

Jaskiret Singh Uppal and Manpreet Jatana deliberately starved their daughter Penelope over a extended period of time. 

Penelope's emaciated and brusied body was discovered wrapped in a sheet at the families home in Hayes on 17th December 2023. Court heard that the couple failed to register her birth and had not registered at a GP. Next hearing is 16th December in London

Teenager denies charges of raping a child in Barnsley

Chorman Sameen 19, from Leeds is charged with two counts of rape and two counts of engaging in sexually activity with a child. 

The charges relate to an alleged incident involving two children on 20th August this year. Sameen plead not guilty to all charges at Sheffield crown court. He was remanded in custody ahead of a trial scheduled to begin 16th March.

Man arrested after girl 15 years old reports rape in Park

A 27 year old ma has been arrested after a 15 year old girl reported being raped in a park in Dorset. 

Police said the teenager met the man earlier that evening before the incident. The alleged attack happened in a children's play area. The suspect remains in custody, The police said the girl is being supported by trained officers and a investigation is ongoing. 

Sunderland children's trust faces questions over finances

Together for Children are facing calls for greater transparency after parents and campaigners raised concerns about how public money is being spent and how life changing decisions about adoption are being made.

Two child workers one from Sunderland targeted a vulnerable child supplying her with drugs and alcohol before sexually abusing her. 

Liam Ramsey and Stephen Hurst were jailed for 11 years and 9 years in prison. The girl was in the care system at the time under Durham local authority. Both men must sign the sex register for life. 

New card game introduced by social services for children in care

The game asks children to respond to different life scenarios to different life experiences through cards explaining that the children must deal with whatever cards they are dealt.  

The cards have a number of bad experiences that children could or have faced and is expected that this could re-traumatise children. 

Marten and Mark Gordon jailed for 14 years for babies death

A couple who went on the run with their newborn baby before she died in a tent during freezing winter conditions have been jailed for 14 years each. 

Her body was later discovered in a plastic bag in a disused shed. The pair was found guilty of manslaughter by gross negligence, child cruelty and perverting the course of justice. 

Two year old girl dies in hospital with parents arrested

A two year old girl has sadly died in hospital with detectives investigating her death as unexplained. 

Her parents a 25 year old women and a 21 year old man have been arrested in connection and are currently being questioned by police. 

Cleveland police are currently leading the investigating.  

Premier League referee pleaded not guilty to child sex offences

Premier League David Coote has pleaded not guilty to making an indecent image of a child. 

The ex offical Mr Coote appeared at Nottingham magistrates court where he was granted bail. He will next appear at Nottingham crown court  on 9th October. Coote was sacked by the PGMOL in December following comments he made about Jurgan Klopp.

The plot centred on teenager Cassie who was admitted to Holby following the death of her foster mother. While Cassie lay unconscious her birth mum Vicky attended the hospital. Speaking to Dr Piper, Vicky revealed that Cassie had been taken via forced adoption..

Mums anger after funeral director keeps baby's body at home

A funeral director has been banned from NHS maternity wards and mortuaries in Leeds after keeping babies bodies at her home. 

One mother said she had been left screaming after discovering her dead son in a baby bouncer watching cartoons. Another dead baby was lying on the sofa getting a nappy change during her arrival.

11 year old boy pepper strayed during protest in London 

Chaotic scenes broke out at Canary Wharf shopping centre on Saturday as a protest turned violent. 

Police said they had to step in after a group of protesters became aggressive towards locals and officers. Four people were arrested at the time for assault, drug offences and public order breaches. 

Women jailed after she neglected and abused 18 week old baby

Lucy Damen was sentenced to just over 4 years in prison for child cruelty, Her partner Daniel Sheard received a 6 years sentence after he admitted the same charge. 

The couple failed to get medical help for baby Kayleigh after they inflicted multiple injuries on her including bruises, bites and 16 fractures to her ribs, shoulder and arm over a six week period. Lucy as appeared on TikTok over recent months with viewers finding out who she is. 

Wife caught husband with 1500 child images on his device 

Christopher Schuring said he accidentally came across the images while downloading music. 

When arrested by police following a call from his wife, police found 1500 indecent images of children including young girls being raped and a 59-minute video of a 13 year old girl being horrendously tortured. 

Schuring received no prison time and given 180 hours of unpaid work. Oh and a divorce

Man caught with child sex dolls gets no prison time

Wesley Clarke from Romford was caught by police with three child like sex dolls that he bought for £700 each has avoided prison. 

Police also found size 3-4 years clothes that Clarke bought for the dolls including school uniforms. He told police he ordered this size dolls to save money. He was sentenced to a community order and given a sexual harm prevention order.

Man and women arrested after one year old's death

Police have arrested a 31 year old man and a 27 year old women on suspicion of murder following the death of one-year old Jayla-Jean Mclaren on the Isle of Wight. 

The child was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died two days later. The pair both from Newport, had previously been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and bailed. 

PE teacher admits sexual communication with teenage girl

Brownen James aged 29, has pleaded guilty to one count of engaging in sexual communication with a child.

James who taught at Hardenhuish school in Chippenham then Bitterne Park school in Southampton. She denies 11 other charges including sexual activity with two other girls and a boy all under 16 years old. She will stand trail in April 2026 and has been granted bail. 

Mum took her own life after GP ruled she wasn't suicidal

Amy Manning 32, was discovered dead in her somerset home by her police officer partner who had come round to check on her. 

Amy, who had money problems took her life while her children were at school an inquest heard. Her family said her mental health had started to deteriorate during the covid lockdown. Avon police said there was no suspicious circumstances surrounding Amy's death.

On 6th August, we formally wrote to TfC requesting urgent clarification and proof that letters, photos and personal items have been delivered. The deadline has now passed without acknowledgement, reply or public reassurance.The silence from TfC is a major concern.  

Girl 6, diagnosed with gonorrhoea after sexual contact with family

A six year old girl has been diagnosed with gonorrhoea after sexual contact with a member of her own family. 

The disturbing case was heard at Liverpool crown court in July, which alleged the child contracted the STD due to abuse by either her mother or uncle. The court could not prove with member of the family committed the crime has both members were positive for gonorrhoea. 

Man who filmed partner having sex with pet dog jailed for five years

Graham Marshall 39, had perverted sexual fantasies that drove the abuse of his dog with partner Paige Reaney 33. 

Marshall described the videos between Paige and his pet dog as so f**king hot and so sexy, Sheffield crown court heard. Marshall admitted possession child abuse images, possession of extreme pornography and voyeurism. 

MET police officer convicted of child sex offences

Thomas Thorpe a met police officer has sent sexually explicit images to a undercover cop he believed was a 12 year old girl. 

Thorpe has been convicted of six child sex offences including attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and attempting to cause a child to engage in sexual activity. 

He has been sentenced to a sexual harm prevention order.

Sending letters to your children once adoption has been granted

A charity has apologised for the inexcusable destruction of around 4,800 personal records linked to adoptions in Scotland, including irreplaceable photographs and handwritten letters from birth parents. 

Scotland based Birthlink have been fined £18,000 after shredding the files to free up space in their filing cabinets. 

BBC host Jay Blades charged with two counts of rape

West Midlands police have confirmed the charges against the BBC host who was a regular on TV show The Repair Shop. 

He will appear at Telford magistrates on 13th August. He is currently awaiting trail on a separate charge of controlling and coercive behaviour. He pleaded not guilty to this charge back in May

Liverpool police officer given 4-year prison sentence 

Adam Hoyle assigned to Lower Lane police station in Liverpool has been jailed for 4 year. 

This is after confessing to participating in inappropriate and unprofessional interactions with three women. Hoyle was convicted of misconduct in a public office, violation of trust and misuse of power characteristics. He joins a growing list of police officers facing criminal charges.

Paedophile groomed and raped two boys aged six and eight years old

Andrew Thompson aged 53, appeared before Burnley crown court regarding the abuse of two young boys. He would buy the boys toys and sweets to go with him. 

The boys told police that Thompson made them watch and he perform sex acts on them. Most of the abuse took place in the back of a van. 

Thompson was sentenced to a total of 24 years in prison. 

Cardiff man jailed after brutal sex attacks on children 

Stuart Compton 46 and Tracy Turner 52 were sentenced at Merthr Tydfil crown court after the rape and abuse of three children. Tracy, was a nurse at Cardiff university hospital where she was suspended after her arrest. 

Compton will serve a minimum of 7 years and Turner a minimum of 12 years in prison. 

South Wales Police, said the nature of the evidence was amoung the worse of the worse.

Dad shook his baby so hard he caused brain injuries then lied

The actions of Dafydd Rutherford caused the weeks old baby to suffer catastrophic multiple bleeds on the brain with devastating and life long consequences. 

Swansea crown court heard he belatedly admitted shaking his baby out of frustration saying he wanted his child to stop crying. Rutherford was sentenced to 28 month in prison, he will serve half of this sentence in prison. 

Teaching assistant shared naked photos with student

Chelsea Knox aged 33, shared videos of herself in the shower as well as two topless pictures along with herself using a sex toy with a teenage boy. 

The two started texting after the teacher asked the boy for a picture of his genitals during class. Knox pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual communication with a child at sevenoaks court. Date is to be set for a crown court hearing. Shes currently on bail. 

Hexham teacher banned for forming relationship with pupil

Andrew Brooks aged 61, who taught at Queen Elizabeth high school has been banned from teaching after forming a sexual relationship with a pupil. 

A friend request on Facebook turned sexual with the pair meeting for 'sex and drinking' sessions Brook showed a complete lack of insight and remorse and has now permanently prohibited from teaching in England. 

BBC employee leading campaign for 'yellow' children badges

A tax-payer funded BBC employee in the UK is leading a campaign to distribute bright yellow badges to school children. These badges would invite transgender adult strangers to approach the children wearing them to ask the children to accompany them to a bathroom.

This is on the grounds they will not be asked to leave because they would have a child vouching for their gender.

Teenage boy killed on railway lines remembered

Joshua Myers 16, was found dead alongside another boy the same age on tracks near Poynton station in Chester has been remembered by his family.

Verphy Kudi, celebrated her 18th birthday on a six-day bender, eating out in London, partying and attending concerts while she left her one-year old baby at home alone. 

Kudi who admitting manslaughter and was sentenced to nine years in prison and will serve two-thirds of her sentence in prison before being released in licence. Her baby lay helplessly dying in her cot while her mum selfishly partied hundreds of miles away. 

Four-year old boy dies after gravestone fell onto him

Paramedics raced to Rawtenstall cemetery in Lancashire, following reports of a child being injured. 

Upon arrival the 4-year old was rushed to hospital but later died of his injuries. His death is not being treated as suspicious. 

A police spokesman said 'We were called to the cemetery following a child injury, despite the best effects of emergency services the boy died shortly after'. 

Louise Lennon let her lover touch her 15 month old baby

Louise Lennon let her paedophile lover cruelly mutilate her 15 month old child's genitals and encouraged him to inflict such severe beatings that the child was rendered blind. He died hours after arriving at hospital. 

Louise Lennon 32, is charged with causing or permitting the death of a child and child maltreatment. 

Lennon was handed a 10-years prison sentence for causing or allowing her babies death. 

Toddler diagnosed with rare and aggressive form of cancer

Finley Robson of Durham has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer just one day after his 1st birthday. 

A scan revealed a brain tumour, after surgery and further tests, Finley was diagnosed with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumour (ARTR) a rare and fast growing cancer. He recently started chemotherapy.

Arrogant pervert has admitted sexually assaulting 4-year old

Dennis Kuzmenok 26, appeared at Southampton magistrates court in June. He faced a charge of sexually assaulting a child by touching.

The girl has lifelong anonymity under the sexual offences amendment act 1992. 

He will next appear at Southampton crown court on 28th July to be sentenced. He has been bailed until this date.

While Verphy Kudi celebrated her 18th birthday on a six day bender, eating out in London and partying at a concert while her 20 month old baby Asiah tragically starved at home alone. 

Baby Asiah lay helplessly dying in her cot while her mum partied hundreds of miles away. 

Kudi has been jailed for nine years after admitting to manslaughter and will serve two-thirds in prison before being released on licence.

French police make    arrests following Disneyland wedding

French police were questioning two people on Sunday after Disneyland Paris was hired for an alleged marriage involving a girl aged 9.

Disney staff and security called police when they noticed that the so called bride, wearing a wedding dress was too young. Local prosecutor's office in Meaux said the event was not a real event

Former Yorkshire police officer charged with 13 counts of misconduct

Jenade Yarmin, 30 a former West Yorkshire police officer will appear at Bradford magistrates on Tuesday. 

The charges follow an investigation into computer misuse, unauthorised disclosure of police information, assisting an offender and fraud.

Hull DJ tried to meet girl aged 8 for sexual intercourse

Simon Leonard Mewse aged 36 also known as DJ Vinylizer in Hull is set for a lengthy stay in prison after he admitted the offence in court. 

The DJ admitted a charge which involved attempting to meet with a girl in Hull and a different child in Selby, both with the intent to commit a sexual offence. He will be sentenced on 9th September

Father accused of the murder of his baby daughter

Father pleaded guilty to the murder of his daughter after he admitted in court that ghosts were not real. 

Thomas Holford was 20 years old when five week old Everleigh Stroud suffered catastrophic injuries after spending the night alone with her. He said i dont believe in ghosts and I dont think someone broke in so it must have been me. 

Northumbria police officer sentenced over historic sex assaults

A former police officer has been sentenced for indecent assaults after targeting a woman in the early 90's while serving in Newcastle. 

Albert Jardine now aged 79 was found guilty after the jury heard how he subjected the victim to repeated lewd behaviour and degrading physical contact. He was sentenced to 18 months in jail

Newcastle man jailed after child grooming sting 

Kai Bell also known as Ben Ryan Barclay was caught speaking to decoy accounts posing as children. 

He had arranged to meet up with children to commit other offences. The 20-year old pleaded guilty to 13 offences at Newcastle crown court. He was sentenced to six years in prison.

West Yorkshire police officer jailed for rape and sexual assault

PC Ben Bottomley was jailed for four years at Sheffield crown court 

The 23 year old based within the Kirkless District of the city was jailed for four years and subject to life on the sex register. The cop was suspended from duty since the outset of the investigation and is now barred from any police role in future. 

Soft play worker jailed for abuse of six young girls

19 year old Robert McGovern was jailed at Glasgow high court for nine years following the rape and sexual abuse of six young girls. 

Robert started his campaign of horror when he was 15 years old and a four year string of offending left the girls at rock bottom. One of the girls bravely went to the police after telling her story in a group session with other victims of sexual assualts.

Judith Evans was jailed for two years at Belfast crown court for a series of sexual offences against a schoolboy and placed on the sex offender register for life

The pair had exchanged over 10,000 messages in the space of months. Evans was a teacher at Belfast Boys school when the offences took place in 2024

Formally known as Michael Morrow, now goes by the name of Ryan Birch was caught following a national crime agency investigation. 

The 36-year old had sent 33 Category A indecent images of children, the worst showing a victim being raped. His devices also included images of a Category B and C nature. He was given a suspended jail term

Yvette Cooper has vowed to take action on the 12 recommendations by Baroness Casey following a rapid national audit on grooming gangs in Britain.

Nursery worker found guilty of abusing babies young as 10 months

Roksana Lecka aged 22 was found guilty of 21 counts of child cruelty following a six week trail at Kingston crown court. The abuse happened at a nursery in Twickenham between October 2023 and June 2024.

Durham crown court heard that Mandy Stubbs began kissing the youngest on his neck and cheek. 

She later removed her leggings and engaged into full sex acts on the boy who tried to push her off. Stubbs from Peterlee, will face trail after she denied all charges. Charges are three counts of sexual activity with a child

Father and 9-year old daughter have died in house fire

A father and his 9-year old daughter have died in a house fire on Sunday night in Yorkshire. 

Two children were taking to hospital where the 9-year old sadly lost her life, her 11 year old sister remains in hospital. Their dad died at the scene. Police do not believe the fire to have been caused in suspicious circumstances. 

Women to stand trail charged with the murder of her baby

Nicole Blain 29, is accused of killing her baby daughter who was only three weeks old in their flat in 2023. 

Prosecutors state Blain repeatedly shook the baby and inflicted blunt force trauma on her by unknown means. The case that is due for trail this year will be heard at Glasgow crown court. 

Murder and sex offences among dropped cases by Northumbria police

More than 400 crimes in Tyne and Wear have collapsed due to lost or damaged evidence. 

Between 2022 and 2024, 350 cases of sexual offences fell through for this reason and more than 1,200 throughout the UK. These are recorded as E72 error codes on the police computer which Northumbria police ranking 2nd in England behind London. 

Father of three took own life just days before Christmas 

A Durham father took his life days before Christmas following a long history of mental health issues. 

Jordan Fucile 28, of Peterlee was found dead in December by his ex-partner Chloe at his home. Fucile was described as having a heart of gold and a family man. Emergency services arrived on the scene but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A prison governor suffered a fractured skull in a attack by a inmate at a prison near Birmingham. 

He remains in hospital nearly three weeks after the incident happened. It marks the latest string of attacks on prison staff where overcrowding seems to be a major issue. This now calls for US style jails to house the UKs most violent criminals.

Primary school teaching assistant caught with child images

The teaching assistant was caught with child rape images.

Daniel Beatty 33, from Newport was jailed for three years in 2015 after he sexually touched a 11-year old bout and showed him pornography. He was back in court a decade on after police caught him with two category A images on his mobile phone. This time he will serve no jail time and will continue to sign the register.

Parents arrested after baby fighting for life in Newcastle hospital

A 20 year old women and a 25 year old man have been charged with causing a child to suffer serious physical harm following a incident in Darlington. 

The baby who suffered critical injuries while at home is currently fighting for life at the RVI in Newcastle. Both have been reminded to appear at court tomorrow morning. 

Police officers who used taser on 92 year old man cleared of assault

Two police officers who used a taser and pepper spray on a one-legged 92-year old man in his care home have been cleared of assault. 

PC Stephen Smith 51, and PC Rachel Comotto 36 were accused of using excessive force on Donal Burgess during a confrontation in East Sussex of June 2022. Both were cleared at Southwark court court on Wednesday.

Ministers considering scrapping two child   benefit cap

Bridget Phillipson said the government is looking at scrapping the two-child benefit cap. 

The government is expected to announce its decision on the cap in autumn, when it publishes its child poverty strategy. Phillipson along with Liz Kendall is leading the child poverty taskforce that was launched last year. 

Mother and three children die in house fire North-West London

Three children and their mum have died in a house fire early hours of Saturday morning. 

Nusrat Usman 43 her 15-year old daughter, 8-year old and 4-year old sons died when the house in Brent went up in flames. A 13-year old who can not be named remains in hospital in critical condition while a 70-year old women has been discharged. A 41-year old man has been arrested and is currently detained under the mental health act the Met confirmed. 

Women convicted of manslaughter of her 4 month old daughter

Melissa Wilband has been convicted of the manslaughter of her baby daughter Lexi. 

The incident occurred after Lexi collapsed in their home. It was revealed that Lexi was found to have suffered bleeding on her brain which prosecutors indicated was likely caused by violent shaking. Wilband aged 28, was found guilty after just two days at crown court. She will be sentenced later this week and was bailed.

Women sentenced to two years for sexual abuse of young boy

Shelia Robson, 27 abused a young boy for the enjoyment of a paedophile has been jailed for two years and seven months. 

She told Carl Thompson 35, molesting the child felt so good and sent him naked pictures of the youngest Durham Crown court heard. Robson of Aycliffe admitted sexually assaulting a child and taking indecent images. Thompson died before he could be sentenced for the crimes.

Studies have shown using drugs to dull sex urges can slash offending by up to 60%.

Northumbria police chief assaulted wife following affair

Northumbria police superintendent has been ruled to have assaulted his wife after she found sexual messages on his phone sent to a junior colleague. 

Supt Karl Wilson who has now retired from his role at Northumbria police was cleared of the attack on a criminal basis, but was nonetheless indicted professionally in terms of force ethics and standards.

A former police inspector is due to appear in court charge with causing the sexual exploitation of a child under 13. 

He is also charged of three counts of making indecent photographs of children. Ian Walpole has been bailed and is due to appear at Lincoln magistrates court on 22nd May.

Brandon Simpson of Middlesbrough has pleased guilty to making images of children and has been charged with the following, 115 Category A images and videos, 34 Category B images and videos and 33 Category C images and videos. He was sentenced to 14 month suspended prison term and sexual prevention order.

A group of Hackers have carried out an attack on the legal aid agency the MoJ have confirmed

The group said it accessed 2.1 million pieces of data, but the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) have not verified that figure. The government became aware of the incident on 23rd April but realised over the weekend it was more extensive than first thought.

Scott Reynolds 40, has been released from custody after serving only five-months for a attack on a two-year old child. 

The incident resulted in serious injuries that required the child to be hospitalized for over a week, including on his third birthday.

A paramedic secretly gave a pregnant woman an abortion drug killing her unborn child

Stephen Doohan had concocted the sick plan after she told him she was having his baby. He crushed pills into a syringe before administering the medication as she lay on a bed at his Edinburgh home. He was found guilty and will be sentenced in June

No jail time for Peterlee man caught with images of children

Nathan Egan 26, of Peterlee received a 20 month suspended sentence and a 10 year sexual harm prevention order for multiple offenses related to child images. 

According to the prosecution 156 of the images were in the most serious category. Is this a punishment since people are going to prison for Facebook posts and cutting trees?

Drug driver killed baby in 90mph crash jailed for 14-years

Craig Nunn hit a car carrying Harley Thompson Wilkinson and his parents on the A451 near Kidderminster. The infant suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and died at the scene while his dad Jake suffered spinal fractures. 

Nunn 40, admitted causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving. He received 14 years.

The parents of a two year old girl that was murdered in her own home in Houghton-le-Spring have been arrested for her murder.

Craig Binns 31, of Newcastle offered a women £300 if he could sexually abuse her baby granddaughter. 

Binns bragged to the women that he previously paid other people to let him rape their children including £1,000 to violate a two year old girl The women met Binns only two weeks earlier on a dating app. Binns was jailed for four years. 

Dad stabbed daughter during play fight at court of appeal

14 year old Scarlett Vickers died after sustaining a single stab wound through her heart at her Darlington home last July. Now her dad who stabbed her could have his sentence increased. 

Simon Vickers received a 15 year prison sentence for her murder. The solicitor general has referred his case to the court of appeal to have his sentence increased. 

Teacher assistant abused over 81 children with special needs

Daniel Clarke of Walsall has been jailed for 7 years after pleading guilty to sexual offences against six vulnerable children. 

All children are subject to special educational needs and disabilities. Clarke can now be named after the media successfully challenged an order at Wolverhampton crown court withholding his identity from the public. 

Two arrested following death of 14-year old in Hartlepool

Cleveland police said the death of a 14 year old girl in Hartlepool is being treated as unexplained. A 55 year old man and a 44 year old women have been arrested and later released on bail pending further inquires. 

The pair are both known to the girl who died suddenly at her family home on Monday evening.

A school teacher who admitted opening the door of a toilet to take pictures of a women inside has been reprimanded. 

Steven Addison a teacher at Auchmity school in Fife admitted to behaving in a disorderly manner in Edinburgh last July. Following a hearing before the teaching council for Scotland, he was allowed to continue teaching. 

Five more children arrested following death of boy in Gateshead fire

Five more children have now been arrested following the death of Layton Carr in Gateshead on 2nd May. The total number of children now arrested on suspicion of manslaughter is now 21. 

All children arrested are aged between 11 and 14 years old. More than £20,000 has been raised to help relatives arrange a funeral for Layton. 

Foster carer from Fife failed to show remorse in court following abuse

Darren Paton repeatedly sexually assaulted and raped one girl and subjected a second to his unwanted attentions during offending that spanned a decade.  

Paton 44, was jailed for 12 years for the assaults against underage girls in which the judge said that he failed to show a shred of genuine remorse. The judge continued to say he was guilty of a significant course of serious child sexual abuse against his first victim. 

Child offenders to be released from prison early to make space

More than a thousand inmates will be released early to free up space in prisons in England and Wales the justice secretary has announced as the government grapples with a overcrowding crisis

The changes will be introduced in the coming weeks. These also include those who are in prison for offences against children and have less than half of their sentence remaining. 

Hospital worker pleaded guilty to sex offences against children

Tracy Turner 51, from Cardiff as pleaded guilty to a number of offences against children. Stuart Compton 45 also of Cardiff pleaded guilty to six charges of arranging the commission of child sex offences.

Both defendants were remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court on 28th July. Judge Tracy Lloyd-Clark told both a custodial sentence was inevitable

Man rammed van with eight-week old baby     inside jailed

Glenn Shields saw red after watching his former partner get into a van driven by another man in Carlisle the court was told. 

The court heard the actions of the 26 year old lefrt the women petrified for her child. Shields was jailed for 18 months after admitting dangerous driving and threatening to destroy her property. Shields must also serve a two year driving ban when released and was banned from contacting his former partner for five years. 

Darlington man convicted of offences related to child abuse

Andrew Weir from Darlington was convicted of serveral offences related to child abise and exploiation. He had amassed a nauseating collection of child abuse videos and incited a young boy online to perform sex acts. 

Weir sent explicit messages to a 14 year old boy in Thailand instructing him to perform sex acts via Skype. The judge sentenced him to six years and six month in prison and ordered to sign the register upon his release from prison. 

Man inflicted horrific abuse on child along with child's mother

Toby Lucas 29, was given a 10 year sentence after he admitted assaulting and injuring a child who was under 10 years old at the time. The child's mother 25, was jailed for 30 months after she stood by Lucas as he inflicted the abuse. The child in this case had been bound and caused injury and suffering in addition to being left incredibly distressed.

Women tried to abduct baby on promenade in Blackpool

A women has been arrested after allegedly trying to abduct a baby in a pram in Blackpool. 

The baby was being pushed along in their pram by a parent when a stranger appeared at around 11.30am near Coral Island. 

A 51 year old women has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction and police assault. 

She remains in police custody at this time.

Inverness man jailed for vile images of babies and children

A man who downloaded vile images of babies and children being sexually abused claimed he did it to try and trap paedophiles but later changed his story. 

Nicholas Ferguson 31, admitted to social workers he has a predilection for child images. A total of 494 images were recovered from one device with a third of them being of the most obscene type. Also 165 videos were found with most of them in the same category. 

Police officer sexually assaulted two colleagues while on duty

Craig Glen 37, inappropriately touched two colleagues while in a police vehicle during separate incidents in 2016 and 2021. 

Glen, who is married also made sexualised comments to them which he later claimed was banter. Glen was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault at Glasgow sheriff court last week. This has triggered a criminal case against him. 

 

Thug assaulted toddler in Burnley jailed for 10 years

A violent thug who assaulted a toddler and left him with a fractured skull has been jailed. 

Grant Eddleston attacked the boy with such force that a doctor       described the trauma as equivalent to falling from a height of 3 metres

Eddleston 35, carried out the assault in 2019 in Burnley when the child was two years old. The child has fortunately made a good recovery after treatment. Eddleston was sentenced to 10 years in prison on 7th May at Preston Crown Court

Father jailed after baby dies of catalogue of injuries

A father has been jailed for 8 years after his seven week old baby died from a chilling catalogue of injuries. Lee Davison 29, was sentenced on yesterday after being found guilty of causing the death of his daughter Kristal. 

The tiny baby died with bleeding behind the eyes, brain damage, broken ribs and broken legs. Davison has 11 previous convictions Kristal's mother Jessica was cleared of the same charge after a trail at Leeds Crown Court.

CCTV shows nursery worker hurting child at her workplace

CCTV images of a nursery worker allegedly hurting children at her workplace in south west London have been shown to a court as she faces child cruelty charges. 

Roksana Lecka 22, admitted two charges and denies 21 further offences that took place at a nursery in Twickenham. Injuries to the children include scratches to the face and neck and pinch marks to their inner legs and stomach. The trail continues.

 

Hull DJ tired to meet 8 year old girl for sex jailed for five years

Simon Mewes a DJ in Hull has been jailed for five years after trying to meet a girl aged 8 for sex. The dad of two went equipped with a pack of condoms and a tent. 

Also known as DJ Vinylizer arranged to meet the girl in a village near Selby. Little did he know he was actually speaking to a undercover police officer. He was charged for attempting to meet a child to commit a sexual offence, indecent images of children and possessing of cannabis. 

Man caught twice by hunting groups while under investigation

Shane Gorman was already under police investigation after he was confronted by a hunting group in 2021. Gorman was then arrested for the same offence of attempting to communicate sexually with a child. 

Gorman was jailed for 16 month at Hull Crown Court, given a 8 year sexual harm prevention order and must sign the sex offender register for 10 years. 

Man shared videos of child abuse with others online jailed

A man who shared footage of himself committing child abuse with others has been jailed for 20 years.

Police said Connor Cashmore 27, of Worcestershire was first arrested last September following intelligence he was involved in a paedophile ring. He pleased guility the following month to 16 offences including rape and sexual assault of a child on Tuesday. Police said the children would have been put through 'Unimaginable suffering' 

 

Concern for children  outside of Newcastle train station

Concern is mounting in the community after it was revealed that the victims of a assault near Newcastle central station earlier this month were children. 

BTP were called to the scene where a 37 year old man was arrested. He has appeared at magistrates court facing two counts of assault by beating. He was released on bail and is due to appear again on 23rd May 2025. 

Two ex police officers charged with alleged rape of underage girl

Ian Hopkinson of Redcar and William Baker of Cornwall are accused of numerous sex offences, alleged to have taken place in the 90s while they were both serving in West Yorkshire police's mounted horse section in Pontefract. 

At a court hearing this week, both men were released on bail. They will both appear at Leeds crown court on 4th June 2025.

Five men in their 70s convicted for sexually abusing boys 

Five men in their 70s have now been convicted for sexually abusing boys in and around public toilets in Hartlepool during the 1980s. For received immediate custodial sentences totalling over 46 years while one was given a suspended term.  

Robert Black 71, Geoff Hillier 72, David Anderson 71, Peter Watts 72, and Alan Edmondson 66. All victims were aged between 12 and 16 at the time. 

Rotherham rapist set to be released from prison after attacking 11 year old

A member of a Rotherham grooming gang who attacked and tortured his victims will be released from prison nine years after he was sentenced to service 19 years. 

Banaras Hussain 44, abused his victims over 11 years and was one of six members of the grooming gang jailed for a total of 103 years. He is being released today. He was sentenced after admitting 10 charges of rape, indecent assault and ABH with some of his victims only 11 years old. 

No jail time for man guilty of assaulting four young children

Jonathon Dunn of Redcar was found guilty of assaulting four young children. Dunn has been ordered to carry out 240 hours of unpaid work and placed on a supervision order for 12 months. 

He was admonished on a fifth charge of behaving in a threatening manner on various occasions during a four year period.

Man who groomed 10 year old girl has sentence extended

Yusuf Kayat 54, was jailed for 20 years in February after he was found guilty of a sick catalogue of 17 crimes at Leeds crown court.

Now the solicitor general has intervened and the court of appeal has extended Kayat sentenced under the Unduly lenient sentence scheme. On 7th May Kayat sentence was quashed and substituted with a 24 year sentence.   

Parents jailed for child     neglect after baby girl found dead

The parents of a baby girl who had suffered multiple injuries before she was found dead at her home in Yorkshire have been jailed for cruelty by a judge who said they had tired to cover up how she died.

Daniel Sheard, 24 and Lucy Damen aged 22 where jailed for neglect of tiny Kayleigh Sheard who was found dead in front of a gas fire by paramedics. 

Sheard was sentenced to six years while Damen got a four year prison sentence at Leeds Crown Court.

Paisley babysitter jailed for causing a baby brain bleed

Charlie Boyle 23, has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to a culpably and recklessly throwing a 12-week old baby into the air on three occasions causing life threatening injuries.  

Despite explicit warnings from the baby's mother not to lift or toss the child, Boyle maintained that he was playing with the baby and that the baby was laughing.

The child had suffered a bleed on the brain and multiple seizures while in hospital as a result. 

Man and Women charged with murder of five week old baby

Sean Jefferson of Walsall and Amy Leigh Clark of Lichfield have been charged with murder, causing the death of a child and two counts of GBH with intent. 

Both defendants appeared at the North Staffordshire justice centre on Friday. They were remanded into custody to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 11th June 2025.

Sex offender moved in with women and 15 year old daughter

A sex offender did a flit from his hostel and failed to inform his monitoring officer that he was living in a house with a women and her 15 year old daughter. 

Brian Warwick 38, of Durham was subject to licence supervision after his release from a five year prison sentence for sexual activity with a underage girl which resulted in her becoming pregant. He has been remained in custody since handing himself in to a police station on 21st April. 

Women who was mistreated in care is campaigning for change

A women who was mistreated as a child while in the care system is campaigning for a change in the law to notify care leavers of their right to view their social services file. 

Victoria Pritchard now 37, had not realised she had the right to claim the file when she turned 18. When she finally accessed it, she felt let down by those involved in her care. She said she was told it was too late to pursue a legal claim, despite not previously knowing the details. 

 

Paedophile foster carer jailed for sickening abuse of teenage boy

A former foster carer has been jailed for the sickening abuse of a teenage boy. 

Samantha Hesler groomed the boy with alcohol, cigaretrtes and playstation games during a three year sexual relationship. Hesler invited teenage children to her home, she said she would make friends with each foster child she was looking after and wanted them to feel at home. Hesler was jailed for two and a half years at Middlesbrough crown court. 

Women charged with sexual offences against underage boy

Chloe Egerton, 25 appeared at Newport Magistates Court to face four charges. She is accused of two counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child and two counts of causing a child to look at a image of sexual activity. 

Egerton did not enter a peas at this hearing, she is expected to appear at Crown Court on 23rd May. 

She was granted unconditional bail.

Girls heart alarm ignored at Freeman Hospital which leads to death

Grieving family speaks out after their daughters heart alarm was ignored at the heart unit within the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. 

Kate Hawkins who tragically passed away in the coronary care unit of the Freeman. Following a coroner's conclusion that the hospital had a duty of care but was not guilty of neglect. Kate was under one-to-one care at the time and was found 3.5 hours later. 

 

15 years for sex predator who repeatedly raped his stepdaughter

A remorseless sex predator who was sentenced to 15 years after he repeatedly raped his step daughter, who he fathered three children with during an 11 year campaign of horrendous abuse has been released. 

Andy Wilson of Great Lever raped, beat and sexually assaulted his step-daughter beginning when she was just 8 years old. 

At the age of 13, she becme pregnant with his first child.

Denise Povall, 61 of Ripon has been jailed for 8 years for sexually abusing a 10 year old boy. Povall was charged with grooming, inciting sex with a child, inciting sexual activity with a child and sexual assault by touching. 

She denied all charged but was found guilty and sentenced a York Crown Court. Povall was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register when she is released from prison.

MP Claims hundreds of trafficked children brought into UK

Former conservative MP Andrew Bridgen has made serious allegations regarding the trafficking of children into the United Kingdom, claiming that hundreds and hundreds of minors have been brought into the country and subsequently disappeared within shadowy networks. 

Masked Truth spokesman said 'Authorities wont act because of who's implicated'. 

 

Labour MP Lucy Powell makes comments on     grooming gangs

The labour MP interrupted Tim Montgomerie as he referenced a documentary on grooming gangs saying 'Oh we want to blow that little trumpet now do we' and later added 'Lets get the dog whistle out, shall we?'

There are calls for Powell to be sacked by the prime minster but later over the weekend Wes Steering the health secretary came out to support Powell saying she didnt mean what she said. 

26 year old man jailed for sexually abusing two year old boy

Wenxiong Jiang has been sentenced to 6 years and 11 months following charges of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, sexually abuse and engaging in sexual communication with a child.

Jaing has been made subject to a 20-year sexual harm prevention order and will remain on the sexual register for life. 

He posed as a 15 year old boy on snapchat to send explicit images to girls as young as 12 years old. 

Man caught with over 1,000 images of children spared jail

Robert Petrie, 66, was handed a suspended sentence by judge Patricia Smyth due to him having no criminal record and health problems. 

Police found 1,071 indecent images of children that were located on his computer and on a memory stick. Judge Smyth noted that 90 of this images were in the most serious category. 

Petrie suffers from MS and Parkinson's disease. 

Isle of Wight man caught with child sex abuse images

Thomas Peach, 31 has avoided prison after magistrates ruled there was a realistic chance of rehabilitation. 

Peach was charged for three counts of making indecent images of children. 

The images included 304 Category C, 22 Category B and 10 Category A images. Peach had posted in a forum, describing himself as being interested in child images, the court heard. 

Joshua Wood jailed for possession of over 450 images of children

Wood 29, was jailed for three years at Stoke Crown Court for possession of over 450 images and videos of children. 

Charges brought against him were three counts of making indecent photos of children, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and causing a child to watch a sexual act. 

The court heard how Wood used a work computer, provided by his employer to exploit children on the internet. 

14 teenagers arrested for manslaughter after a 14 year old dies in fire

A total of 11 boys and three girls all ages between 11 and 14 years old have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a 14 year old in Gateshead. Emergency services were called to a fire near Fairfield industrial park around 8pm on Friday night. Police appealed for a missing boy named Layton Carr who was in the area at the time. Layton was later found inside the building.   

All 14 arrested remain in police custody at this time. 

Milton Keynes Council offer £6,000 golden hello payment

The Masked Truth have approached Milton Keynes council for comment after they are offering new social workers a £6,000 one off payment to join. 

Originally introduced to address urgent staffing shortages within the social care system, the bonus has drawn national attention and now criticism. Whistle bowers from within the council have shared concerns about questionable hiring practices and inadequate vetting 

Man sexually abused and raped children for decades is jailed

A man who abused and raped children has been jailed. Brett Saunders aged 39, appeared at Kings Lynn Crown Court on 1st May where he was sentenced to 21 years in prison. 

He previously admitted to 19 counts of rape and sexual assault against four children. The offences took place between 1995 and 2024.

Saunders was also placed on the sex offenders register for life and subject to a sexual harm prevention order

David Craig of Dunbar installed hidden cameras to spy on children

A Dunbar tradesman called David Craig was convicted of installing hidden camers in his home to spy on children undressing. Craig 49, placed a small covert device behind a air vent to capture footage of the children at his former residence. 

Craig denied the charges but a jury found him huilty of four voyeurism offences and possessing indecent images of children. He also pleased guilty to assaulting a women and possessing drugs in 2022. Craig avoided prison and was made to complete unpaid work.  

Rui Pereira committed 19 sexual offences against     children now jailed

The 24 year old used his small size and young appearance to help him target young girls in Lincolnshire. Rui admitted 19 sexual charges including six counts of rape on a child. 

The charges also included sexual activity with a child, sexual assault of a child, taking and making indecent photos of children and sexual communication with a child. He was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court to 16 years in prison, given a sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order once released.  

Houghton-le-spring man jailed for terrorising mum and her child

Chris McGowen 39, was jailed at Newcastle Crown Court where he admitted multiple offences including harassment, malicious communication and threating to cause criminal damage. 

McGowan main violent threats against his partner by threatening to slit her and her child's throat. He was jailed for two years and handed a restraining order banning contact with the victim. Northumbria police have urged anyone experiencing domestic abuse to seek help

Natwich couple sexually     abused four children jailed for life

Lovers Alan Short 63, and Daniel Goss 36, previously pleased guilty to 58 sexual offences including rape against four children. The pair lived together in Stapeley and   committed their offences over a five year period. 

They appeared at Chester Crown Court where they both were       sentenced to life in prison with a     minimum term of 21 years each.

Predator GP jailed for 22 years after assaulting   female patients

Dr Stephen Cox has been jailed for 22 years after sexually assaulting female patients in a nine year reign of terror. Cox aged 65 targeted the women while pretending to carry put routine medical exams at his surgery in Berkshire. 

In reality, he was motivated by sexual pleasure by touching certain areas of the body. He took sexual gratification from groping his       victims getting them to undress       unnecessarily and touching them without using gloves.  

Mother suffocated her two year old daughter is jailed for 16 years

Cody-Anne Jackson killed her two year old daughter after sending the child's father a picture so he had one last memory of his little girl. 

Jackson, 20, used a dressing gown cord and pillow to smother and strangle her daughter just a week after the child's father had moved out of their family home. 

At Stafford Crown Court Jackson originally denied murder but       dramatically changed her plea six days into the trail. 

Wife finds child abuse images on husbands phone

A man who had photos on his phone of children as young as five being sexually abused claimed he only had them to trade for adult pornography. 

The pictures came to light when Eifion Humphries asked his wife to use his mobile to video him playing the guitar and she saw what was stored on the device. 

He had 13 Cat A images, 6 Cat B including pornography involving a women and a horse. 

Two year old girl dies after suffering serious head injuries

Northumbria police said it received a report of concern for a child in the Houghton are on 21st April. The girl was taken to hospital where she died a few days later.   

The child's parents have since been arrested and released on bail 

The Masked Truth have contacted Together for Children and Northumbria police for comment regarding the involvement and safety of the child. 

Vicar and women he was having affair with jailed for child abuse

Stephen Clapham aged 61 was vicar at All Saints Church in Crewe when he abused the child with Sally Shaw. Indecent photos of the child were also taken by Shaw and sent to Clapham. 

Both pleased guilty and were sentenced to four years each. Both will also have to stay on the sex offenders register for life. 

A sexual harm prevention order was also ordered by the court and will also be in place for life. Restraining orders against the pair means they can not contact the   victim.  

Headteacher hits deputy with wrench over sexual jealousy

A headteacher who had a 'love child' with a colleague attached his deputy with a wrench after feeling overwhelming sexual jealousy when they became embroiled in a love triangle.

Anthony Felton hit Richard Pike with the tool at St Josephs Catholic school in Port Talbot, South Wales. 

He pleaded guilty to GBH with       intent at Swansea Crown Court.  

Stepfather guilty of     murdering 10 month old baby boy

Jacob Crouch had suffered at least 39 rib fractures and was left to die in his cot alone. 

His stepfather Craig Crouch aged 39 has now been found guilty of murder. Jacobs mother Gemma aged 33, has been cleared of murder but found guilty of allowing the death of a child. 

Both defendants remained silent as the verdicts were read out with people in the gallery weeping.

58 year old priest had been arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual communication with a child. 

The arrest followed a video depicting a paedophile sting operation that was widely circulated on social media by a group called Justice Reborn.

Survivors being 
reminded its not too late to come forward

Survivors of childhood sexual abuse are being reminded that it is never too late to come forward, this follows a former teacher that has just been jailed for offences committed in the early 1980s. 

Alum Thomas a former teacher at a Nottingham school was interviewed by police in June 2024 after one of his victims came forward to report what happened to her in 1984.
